MAWMedia Has A CLUE

IMG_2698_smMurray KY: The organizers of the Murray State University CLUE Conference have selected a proposal authored by MAWMedia Group President Michael Wright for inclusion in their April 4-6, 2013 conference.

The theoretical paper titled, “Beyond Disparities: the Sociocybernetics of Health Systems Interaction” will outline an expanded vision of community health care highlighting the role of social workers. This event will be the first time that the model, developed over the last 2 years as a part of the Lifespan Project at Tennessee State University, will be presented for public comment.

CLUE is an acronym for Collaborative Learning and Unlimited Excellence. The 2013 event is presented in collaboration with the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky. From the CLUE website: “The CLUE conference seeks to understand how health and community service personnel can move forward effectively and efficiently in the next decade with current constraints.” More information about the conference can be found on the CLUE website: http://www.murraystate.edu/clue.aspx

The conference has one more day, but we are done with our presentations. Why do I say We? Because I presented on Social Work in health care. I also was a co-presenter with Natosha Word in a session entitled, “The Unintended Consequences of Philanthropy Giving.”
Murray State is proposing to have this conference every year. I hope they do. It would be AMAZING if TSU students could represent in greater numbers next year.
